Continuous Insight for IT Services is the first of these titles and is every IT buyer's and seller's 'must-have' guide to understanding the power of continuous insight as a process. It explains how this breakthrough approach liberates the inherent value of IT solutions.
The central point of this book is that there's over-capacity in the global IT industry. The only growth for IT vendors will come from beating the competition - therefore 'differentiation' is critical to survival. At the same time, this over-capacity is causing IT buyers to commoditise the value of IT. The book aims to help both the 'buy' and the 'sell' sides of the IT industry.
The author, Peter Pastides, helps the IT buyer to gain a better understanding of the complexity and challenges of the portfolio-laden, quarterly-driven IT vendor. He also helps the IT seller to understand that global enterprises want IT to deliver business outcomes.
